ARTIST BIO

I'm Abby Bulmer and I'm a cartoonist based in Manchester. I've worked as a freelance illustrator over the last ten years for magazines, comics and educational children's books and catalogues. Some of those titles have included brands like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Powerpuff Girls, Angry Birds and Moshi Monsters.

As a comic book colourist I have mostly worked for 2000AD with characters like Judge Dredd, but also on independent titles like John Wagner's Rok of the Reds.

Currently as a freelance artist I'm working on The Phoenix, illustrating and colouring Claire: Justice Ninja; and on IDW's Sonic The Hedgehog comic.

Last year I also began my first work as a storyboard artist, and am a junior storyboard artist at Hoopla Animation on the series Daisy and Ollie, currently airing on Channel 5's Milkshake.
