ARTIST BIO

Abby Bulmer is a freelance cartoonist based in Manchester who has worked in comics, book illustration and animation. Her early work in UK comics included colouring work for 2000AD on Judge Dredd and Kingdom, and illustration work for characters like the Powerpuff Girls, Moshi Monsters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Angry Birds. With her husband Dave Bulmer, she also worked on a small press all-ages comic called Imaginary Gumbo. She also coloured the first Rok of the Reds volume.

Abby is now a regular artist for The Phoenix, having started as an artist on Claire: Justice Ninja and then helping create Doggo and the Earth Defence Club. She has also illustrated short strips and covers for IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog title, and several issues of My Little Pony.

Abby has also worked for the last few years as a storyboard artist, learning the ropes with Hoopla on Channel 5's Daisy and Ollie series. She recently completed work on season one of Disney's Hey AJ for Surfing Giant Eur
